‘Star Wars: Shatterpoint, A Clone Wars Novel’ – Chapter 13 (Part 1)

Saturday.  We got up at the crack of dawn this morning as I do with all camping trips.  I took the kids and we all went fishing together.  Including those which I cannot name on this blog.  I fished for most of the morning and joined my wife on the beach this afternoon.  We ate some lunch together at a snack shack and played in the sand and talked with everyone there.  We had a great time relaxing and luckily, I didn’t get any sunburn.  We got done, went back to the camp site and ate some dinner.  The kids played some kick ball tonight for some entertainment, and we did some sparklers after dark.  It was a great day and a relaxing day.

Okay, so let’s talk about Part 1 of Chapter 13 of “Star Wars:  Shatterpoint, A Clone Wars Novel” by Matthew Woodring Stover…..

Chapter 13:  Jedi of the Future – It was now night time as the Korun set up camp in the jungle on Haruun Kal.  Nick tended to Mace’s injuries in Depa’s wall tent as she watched, in sillhoutte form, from the other section of the tent.  As Nick treated him, Mace was concentrating on tracking his lightsaber which had Vastor attached.  He told Nick that Vastor was pacing and Nick asked if he was shocked, and Mace said he shouldn’t be.  Mace said he senses that his submission to the fight may ahve been fake.  Nick told Mace to stay away, unless he wants to find out how many more bacteria he can attract into his wounds on this planet.  Nick then asked Mace how Depa was with the whole “Dark Side” issue.  Mace said he’s not sure, but that she’s unstable.  Nick said war can do that, but Mace says this is not his fear…..
