‘Star Wars: Outbound Flight’ – Chapter 16 (Part 6)

Sunday.  It’s supposed to be a day of rest and it should have been, but it just didn’t turn out that way.  I was so exhausted today that when the alarm rang to get up for church, I didn’t even hear it and neither did Heather.  Ruth came in our room at ten o’clock and asked if we were going to church and that’s when we realized we had missed our alarm and weren’t going to be able to make church this morning.  Heather and I both needed the sleep and we were both still exhausted, but we realized that we had to get up because Austin had a football game and needed to be at the field at one o’clock this afternoon.  We got up, got some showers and baths and got the kids ready for their football game.  We got to the field and Austin went to his practice and Heather and the girls and I decided to check out Toys R’Us and see what they had for Star Wars collectibles.  We got done and headed over to the game and the girls joined the rest of the cheerleaders and Heather led them in the game.  We had a small argument because Heather decided to have her cheerleaders cheer while one of our own players was injured on the field.  I tried to tell her to stop, but she wouldn’t listen to me, so I had to be a little rude about it.  I know she didn’t like it, but I figured it was better to hear it from me than another parent that she may snap back at.  I wanted her to understand that this was not considered “couth” to do while one of the players are injured on the field.

We got done with the game and then went home and I was able to watch some football on T.V., which I am really feeling that I won’t have a lot of time to do this fall for some reason.  We ate some leftovers from the week for dinner and then got the kids ready for school for the week.  Heather and I vegged out downstairs for a little while watching some T.V. and then decided that we would head to bed early and went to bed at nine-thirty.  Tomorrow was going to be another long one as I had to get up early and there was marching band rehearsal tomorrow night.
Okay, so let’s talk about Part 6 of Chapter 16 of “Star Wars:  Outbound Flight” by Timothy Zahn…..

Chapter 16 (Part 6):  “Incoming!”, shouted a Neimoidian and Kav told him to send an outer group to destroy the ships.  As the droid starfighters got into range, the Chiss fighter moved back out of range.  Kav now wondered if Thrawn just did not realize how badly outmatched he was.  Doriana reminds Kav that they can’t have witnesses once Outbound Flight shows up.  Doriana said that anyone speaking basic this far our from The Core could be Senate Spies, Jedi, or sent by Palpatine himself!  A Neimoidian reported that the Chiss fighter was repeating his movement and Kav ordered the droid starfighters to repeat their movement.  Doriana warned that they could jam the signal.  Then Doriana reminded Kav about the cruiser, but Kav said the cruiser has only moved along their flank and not moved closer.  Doriana suggests the fighter is a decoy and Thrawn is up to something, but Kav says it will gain him nothing……
