‘Star Wars:The Approaching Storm’ – Chapter 4 (Part 4)

Well, Heather and I woke up late as we spent some time together last night and really didn’t get to bed till three this morning.  One good thing came out of it, I convinced my wife to try the New York State Fair tommorrow.  We woke up around noon and got ourselves together and got the kids together.  We headed to Rent-Way and dropped off a payment on my T.V. and then we headed over to Aldi’s for food for the house.  Sometimes food shopping is insane, but on a Saturday afternoon, it’s absolute chaos!!  It wasn’t my kids I was worried about, it was all the other kids there.  I couldn’t believe about how little control some of these people had over their kids!  I must have run over five or six toes today and I didn’t even feel bad about it!  We went to Wal Mart, and that was even worse!!  So, we went home.  I spent the entire afternoon working on “Jedi Babies” and have most of it done.  I just need to add some sound effects and finnish recording the opening song.  Yeah, that’s right, I’m going to sing for this one!  You’ll want to check it out.  I’m also working on an original header for the show for the podcast.  It’s going to continue to be a work in progress.  I hope everyone likes it.

Heather made me stop recording tonight and take some time and watch “Coach Carter” on Cinemax with her.  I’m glad I did.  It really was a good movie.  I was impressed with how realisitic it was protrayed and the story behind the movie.  Yep, this is going to have to be a “must own” at some point.  We decided to go to bed early tonight as we’re heading to the New York State Fair tommorrow in the morning.  Heather’s worried about the rain because we are getting the remnants of a hurricane up here, but according to the Weather Channel, there’s only a 20% chance of rain tommorrow.  Only time will tell.

Okay, time to talk about Chapter 4 (Part 4) of “Star Wars:The Approaching Storm” by Alan Dean Foster…..

Chapter 4 (Part 4):  Luminara put down the mirror she was looking at and felt that something was wrong.  She realized she hadn’t seen Barriss in some time and this was not normal behavior.  Obi-Wan asked her what was wrong and she said she was concerned that her padawan seemed to be missing.  Anakin chimed in syaing the last time he saw her was when she was looking at the woodwork in the shop.  Luminara asked which shop, but Anakin said there are no worries as he watched the entrance to the shop and she simply hasn’t stepped out yet.  Luminara said it was unlike Barriss to tarry and again asked which shop she was in.  When Luminara got to the shop she began to call out her padawan’s name.  As they searched the shop they could not find her but Obi-Wan discovered an elderly Ansionian on the floor.  Anakin retrieved water to help revive the female Ansionian.  As she came to, she introduced herself as the shop owner.  She said she could only remember two ugly-looking Alwari and she did remember Barriss being in the shop.  She remembers discussing odors with them and then blacked-out and came-to.  At that point Anakin shouted out from the rear entrance.  When the masters joined him, he pointed out the deep Anisonian footprints leaving the store, deep as if they were carrying a heavy burden.  Luminara said she was distressed  as she could not sense the presence of her young padawan.  Obi-Wan said she may be knocked out like the store owner to which Anakin also replied that she could also be dead.  Anakin suggested they ask the local government for help but Obi-Wan was quick to point out that this would make them look weak in their negotiations with the locals.  Luminara came up with a plan.  They would go back to the shop owner and get a full description of the Alwari in the shop, then they would split the city into thirds and try to find them or sense Barriss’ presence.  They agreed and all agreed that finding Barriss was more important polotics…..
